Solar water heating systems (Solar geyser)
Solartech Solar Water Heating systems are manufactured and supplied by our technology partners Solsquare. These Solar water heating systems carry the SABS Mark of approval to indicate its compliance to product specifications SANS 1307 and SANS 151, which includes mechanical and thermal testing. Solartech Solar Water Heaters are manufactured in Germany, carry a 10 Year warranty subject to Solsure and are available in 200lt and 300lt sizes for split or thermosyphon installations.
The Indirect system
Solartech’s Preferred Technology is the Indirect System. It is suitable for all regions even where the ambient temperature may fall below freezing. Using a synthetic heat transfer fluid has proven to be the most predictable method for ensuring system performance year round. Systems can be installed in two configurations
The direct system
This system circulates the drinking water in the solar geyser through the solar panel. The panel heat is then transferred directly to the water supply. This eliminates the need for a heat exchanger and the use of heat transfer fluid.
Both indirect & direct tanks are “Dual Tanks” which means they are fitted with a back up electric element, so in the event of inclement weather our systems also work as a conventional electric water heater.
A solar geyser can save you up to 40% of your electricity bill. Contact us in order to provide the best solution for your needs and your preference.
